Mark Andrews


Mark Andrews is a British writer and photographer who first visited China in 1994 and from 2004 lived in China for a total of nineteen years.

From 2007 Mark Andrews started to test drive Chinese cars beginning with the Roewe 750 which was attracting interest in the UK partly because it was based on the Rover 75 and also because it was claimed that it would be exported to the UK. Over the years he has test driven a large number of cars in China, only a fraction of which are talked about in any detail in Driving the Dragon. Furthermore, Mark Andrews has written articles analyzing many areas of the Chinese car market.

Over the course of nearly two decades, Mark Andrews has had test drives and articles on the Chinese car industry appear in publications including Autocar, Auto Express, Carsales Australia, Car Design News, Car News China, China Automotive Review, China Car Times, CKGSB Knowledge, DirectIndustry, MG Enthusiast, Nikkei Asia, South China Morning Post, Sydney Morning Herald, The Drive, The National, Wired
